Vladivostok Times: Magnitude 4 Earthquake Hits Sakhalin

Shocks were felt in the Nevelsk District, Holmsk and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk

VLADIVOSTOK, August 15, vladivostoktimes.com The earthquake was registered in Sakhalin at the distance of 14 kilometers to the southwest of Nevelsk.

As the press service of the Far Eastern Regional Center of Russian Emergency Ministry reported to RIA PrimaMedia, the magnitude 7 quake was registered at the depth of 10 kilometers. The quake was felt with magnitudes of 3 to 4 in the Korsakovskiy District, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, the Nevelsk District, and Holmsk.

There are no victims, destructions and tsunami threat.
