When British investigators sought to prosecute BAE, the Saudis threatened to cut off counter-terrorism cooperation if the British investigators did not back off. The British government ordered the prosecution halted.

BP Exploration (Alaska) Inc. will spend $1.2 billion on capital projects in Alaska in 2009, a 30 percent increase over the $900 million spent in 2008, a company spokesman said Dec. 2. Dominion and Shell WindEnergy Inc. (Shell) announced today the completion of the NedPower Mount Storm LLC wind energy project in which they each own a 50 percent interest.
