BG Group potential bidding war with Royal Dutch Shell

BG Group: The London-listed oil and gas company, based in Berkshire, has raised its offer for Pure Energy, the Australian coal seam gas group, by 25 per cent to nearly £452.4 million, launching a potential bidding war with Royal Dutch Shell, its rival. BG has trumped an existing offer from Arrow Energy, Shell’s Australian partner. Pure has planned liquefied natural gas export projects in Queensland.
