Just over 9 years ago, a Shell insider sent us a Shell internal email circulated on behalf of a then senior finance man at Shell, Engelhardt Robbe.

The description given by the insider is self-explanatory.

From a Shell Insider

Dear Alfred

When I saw this one I thought this was a joke, trying to outdo Dogbert of Scott Adams Dilbert. But this is serious matter, sent from a very senior Finance manager. Scott Adams manages to get the message across in 3 pictures. But it now is clear that the top of the Finance community in Europe has gone stark raving mad.

He must have cracked under the pressure of all the ‘process apparatchicks’. This is what continuous exposure to mad and obsessed ‘leaders’ can do to what was once a first class brain!!

I could not even complete reading all the utter nonsense.

And believe me, it is not an april’s fool joke!

Kind regards

The relevant leaked email can be viewed here

In a stroke of good fortunate for Shell, Engelhardt Robbe left the company and took a senior management job as CFO of the Dutch Railways.

The same irate “insider” has just sent me an email updating me on the activities of Robbe and proving one again that the insider can spot a pompous incompetent fool from a mile off.  I assume he has had plenty of practice at Shell. The name of John Hofmeister immediately comes to mind.

Extracts:

But now this Engelhard Robbe was questioned in the government investigation on the disaster with the HSL (High Speed Line).

He is now the acting CEO (in addition to his job as CFO) of the dutch railways, after his boss Timo Huges was sacked on criminal charges (fiddling with the tender process).

A CFO who is not aware of fiddling on major tendering should be sacked or imprisoned. It is his job to know. Now only his boss is sacked without pay or lump sum!). (This is completely separate from the Fyra disaster!)

So Huges, the ex CEO of NS had to testify on Fyra but apparently they did not call him to the stand but instead the current acting CEO Engelhardt.

I hope it still makes sense to you.

Billions have been spent but no trains are running and certainly no high speed trains.

How come the same face shows up during great disasters?

Must be coincidence…..
