Royaldutchshellplc.com website under Denial of Service Attack?

By John Donovan

Regular visitors may have noticed that this website was down for almost 24 hours last week. This was because we doubled the power of our server to cope with unexplained surges in traffic, which made access sluggish at times.

Today the site is being bombarded with Shell Blog comments, made in multiple languages via multiple isp addresses. It appears to be yet another concerted denial of service attack by an unknown party.

Such activity is unlawful. We only publish comments about Shell and related matters in English. We never publish comments containing advertising links. read more

John

I want to keep up the pressure on Shell by the publication of these two additional articles that cover the hardware faults taken from Shell’s own data.

The Chairman wrote to me some time ago saying he agreed with the 2006 press releases, I understand his defence now is that he was misled at the time by Malcolm Brinded and his legal counsel Keith Ruddock.

I want to use the fact that the Chairman has not raised, and will not raise, any legal objection to these articles in this correspondence copied to the police, and the previous article re behaviours, in future correspondence with the HSE and the judiciary.

I will pass to all the bundles of evidence supporting these articles in due course

How Chris Finlayson bungled the Mother of all Projects: Sakhalin II

Chris Finlayson representing Shell and Alexander Medvedev, Gazprom’s Vice Chairman

By John Donovan

Chris Finlayson, the newly appointed Chief Executive of BG Group, held a leadership position in Shell’s Sakhalin II project in Russia from September 2005 to September 2009. The venture was described as “the Mother of all Projects” by the Financial Times.

We have already published an article about his involvement in the Royal Dutch Shell reserves scandal, providing evidence – in the form of authentic Shell internal documents – supporting my conclusion that he was either part of the cover-up, or negligent in his fiduciary duties as a senior Shell executive to protect the interests of investors. read more

Investigation arising from Shell Brent Bravo Explosion

By John Donovan

Criminal Investigation arising from Shell Brent Bravo Explosion

On 17 March 2011, I sent an email to Mrs Anne Currie (right), the Area Procurator Fiscal for Grampion in Scotland.

Its purpose was to find out why the accused company Shell, not the Procurator Fiscal, notified former Shell International Group HSE Auditor, Mr Bill Campbell, of the outcome of the investigation.

This seemed odd to say the least, bearing in mind that it was his complaint to Grampion Police, which sparked the corruption investigation allegedly involving Shell and HSE officials. read more

Correspondence with Shell: outcome of corruption investigation

By John Donovan

We have published below our recent correspondence with senior officials of Royal Dutch Shell on allegations of corruption involving Shell and the Health and Safety Executive. The allegations arose from the aftermath of the deadly Brent Bravo explosion, which itself resulted from Shell’s notorious “Touch F*** All safety culture on North Sea Rigs.

Criminal investigation of allegations concerning Shell employee safety issues

Printed below is self-explanatory email correspondence relating to a Grampian Police investigation arising from allegations made by Mr. Bill Campbell, the former HSE Group Auditor of Shell International. His allegations relate to the Shell Brent Bravo Scandal and related issues, and a pending decision by the Scottish legal authority - the Procurator Fiscal - on whether to bring a prosecution.
