ABC.net.au: Shell offers ‘no comment’ on power stations’ future

Posted 16 Sept 04

Shell has refused to comment on reports its planning to sell its share in two Queensland coal fired power stations.

Financial reports suggest Shell may sell its stake in Intergen, which owns about half of the Callide power station in Central Queensland, and the Millmerran power station on the Darling Downs.

A Shell spokeswoman says the company does not comment on market rumour and speculation.

She says Shell continually reviews its portfolio of assets as part of normal business practice.
