Poland and Royal Dutch Shell PLC on Thursday signed a deal for the oil giant to open a A7 million (US$8.5 million) center for accounting and management near the southern city of Krakow, Shell said.
Work start in June on the center, which is expected to create 800 jobs by the time it opens in 2010, the company said.
Poland, which has European Union's highest jobless rate at 17.8 percent, will support the project with about 3 million zlotys (US$1 million, A825,000) in funding and tax incentives.
