LEADERS of some of Britain’s biggest firms – including Shell, Tesco and Vodafone – yesterday went to 10 Downing Street to demand tougher targets to cut greenhouse gas emissions.

James Smith, the chairman of Shell UK, said: “Climate change is a challenge that we all have to step up to and that requires significant measures deploying the technologies that are going to make a difference.”
