AFX News Limited: Royal Dutch Shell acquires Malaysian ConocoPhillips subsidiary Conoco Jet

AMSTERDAM (Thomson Financial) – Royal Dutch Shell PLC has reached an agreement with Conoco for the acquisition of 100 pct of Conoco Jet (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, the company announced.

The wholly-owned ConocoPhillips (nyse: COP – news – people ) subsidiary operates the ProJet retail marketing assets in Malaysia and the deal comprises 44 ProJet branded retail service stations and 14 vacant land sites, primarily in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and the State of Jorhor in the southern part of the country.

The new sites will complement the 830 existing Shell Retail service stations already in place across Malaysia.

The deal is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to be completed in the second half of the year. The stations will be rebranded under the Shell name within six months of the deal’s completion.
