Step up and adopt a graduate

A nationwide summer work placement scheme to get university leavers into small and medium-sized businesses is looking for host companies.

Hundreds of graduates have been put to work on specific business or technical projects for SMEs through the Shell Step scheme.

Last year 96 per cent of those that took part said it had a positive impact on the future of their business. More than two-thirds said profits increased by at least £1,500 during the placement

Interested business owners can contact www.shellstep.org.uk. The deadline for applications is June 15.
