LONDON -(Dow Jones)- Saudi Arabian Oil Co., the world’s biggest oil company by production and reserves, Wednesday said former Royal Dutch Shell PLC (RDSB.LN) chairman Mark Moody-Stuart and James W. Kinnear, former president and chief executive of Texaco, are joining the company’s board.

The state-run company, known as Saudi Aramco, said in a statement that Salim Al-Aydh, an Aramco senior vice president, and Peter Woicke, a managing director at the World Bank, are also taking up positions on Aramco’s 12-member board. The new board, which is chaired by Saudi Oil Minister Ali Al-Naimi, begins serving its new term Sept. 27.

Moody-Stuart, who also currently serves as chairman at U.K. mining company Anglo American PLC (AAUK), served as Shell chairman from 1998 to 2001.

Kinnear retired in 1996 as president and chief executive of Texaco, which later merged with Chevron Corp. (CVX) in 2001.
