CLEVELAND, Aug. 2 /PRNewswire/ — Profiles in Diversity Journal today announced the winners of its 2007 Innovations in Diversity Awards, given to honor corporations, organizations and institutions around the world that have developed innovative programs in the area of workforce diversity and inclusion. For the second consecutive year, the top honors went to Sodexho, this time for its comprehensive Champions of Diversity recognition program. The awards will be featured in the July-August issue of the magazine.
“Sodexho has put together an outstanding recognition program that merits attention and applause,” said James Rector, publisher. “We continue to be impressed by the commitment all of these companies have made to making diversity work for everyone.”
Rounding out the top ten, in order, are Royal Dutch Shell, Intercontinental Hotels Group, KPMG LLP, Lockheed Martin Corporation, Kaiser Permanente, Best Buy, Dell Inc., MGM MIRAGE, and Credit Suisse. These organizations have initiated D&I plans within the past two years that have delivered a positive outcome on diversity management, employee recruitment and retention and workplace quality.
Eight other companies were given Excellence in Innovation Awards. They are BlueCross of California, Cardinal Health, Dow Chemical Company, Freescale Semiconductor, Kelly Services, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, New York Life and Wal-Mart.
