Bloomberg: Shell Restores Power, Returns Workers to Brent Bravo Platform

By Paul Dobson

Aug. 13 (Bloomberg) — Royal Dutch Shell Plc, Europe’s biggest oil company, said it’s returning staff to its Brent Bravo oil and gas platform in the U.K. North Sea after fixing electricity generation at the site.

“The power’s restored and they’re taking people back to the platform,” Anne Blaydon, a Shell spokeswoman in Aberdeen, said today in a telephone interview.

Shell evacuated some of the workers to the nearby Tern Alpha and North Cormorant sites in the North Sea on Aug. 7, following a power cut. It said at the time production was unaffected because the platform was offline for maintenance.
