Houston Business Journal: Coral companies to merge into Shell parent

Tuesday, November 13, 2007 – 10:17 AM CST

Shell Energy North America (US) LP said Tuesday that its active, U.S-based Coral operating companies will merge with the parent company by next year.

The companies are Coral Energy Resources LP; Coral Power LLC; Coral Energy Management LLC; and Coral Gas Marketing LLC, all based in Houston.

Shell said it would be the remaining entity.

The merger will help eliminate confusion caused by multiple operating companies with multiple names, said Mark Hanafin, president and chief executive officer of Shell Energy North America.

Houston-based Shell Energy North America is a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc.
