CNNMoney.com: Shell, ExxonMobil Start Gas Output From GBP175 Million N Sea Invest

LONDON -(Dow Jones)- Royal Dutch Shell PLC (RDSB.LN) said Monday it, along with Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM), had started natural gas output from its U.K. North Sea Starling field.

The project represents a GBP175 million investment and gas is to be exported to the U.K. mainland.

Shell owns 28% in, and is operator of, the field, while ExxonMobil has 72% in the acreage.

Peak production is estimated at some 140 million standard cubic feet a day.
