Kazakhstan Today: Shell to invest USD8 million within three years to water supplying in Mangistau oblast

Aktau. April 16. “Kazakhstan Today” Royal Dutch Shell Plc. company (Shell) will invest USD8 million for the period of three years in the project on improvement of water supply of drinking water to 10 populated points in Mangistau oblast. It was informed yesterday by akim of Mangistau oblast Krymbek Kusherbayev in Aktau during signing of the memorandum about cooperation, agency reports.
К. Kusherbayev also noted that in March, 2008 the committee on water resources of the agriculture ministry of Kazakhstan jointly with the UNDP project in Kazakhstan and Shell company got down to the first stage of fulfillment of the project in improvement of water supply of Kyzyltobe, the populated point. The company presented USD313,3 thousands. The term for the project realization is six months of the current year.
