The Army Bomb Disposal Unit is attending the scene of another suspect device in Dublin.
The Defence Forces has confirmed a device found during the course of a Garda operation in Killester earlier was a hoax.
A second device has now been reported in Ballymount on the city’s south side.
Gardaí investigating the discovery of a suspect device at the headquarters of Shell Ireland on Leeson Street in Dublin on September 9 arrested four people on Abbeyfield Road in Killester in north Dublin.
During the course of that operation they found another suspect device.
The Army Bomb Disposal Unit has examined the device and declared it a hoax.
Two men and two women have been arrested and are being held at Pearse Street and Kevin Street Garda Stations.
Meanwhile in a separate development the same Army Bomb Disposal Unit is now attending the scene of another suspect device on Dublin’s southside.
An area on the Ballymount Road is sealed off for the examination.
