Royal Dutch Shell Plc (RDSA) closed an oil pipeline in Nigeria after detecting a leak, Lagos-based PM News reported on its website, citing a company spokesman.

The leak on a line connecting an oil well with the company’s Nembe Creek 2 flowstation in Nigeria’s southern Rivers state was discovered on Aug. 29, PM News reported yesterday, citing Precious Okolobo, a Shell spokesman.

Shell was investigating the source of the leak, which is not thought to have had much impact on production, PM News said, citing Okolobo.
