Dear Supt Thomas Murphy

It must be disconcerting that private communications in relation to your investigation of OSSL allegations are regularly published on my website, sometimes within minutes of being sent.

I want you to know that I am willing to not only cease publishing any reference by me personally to OSSL and your investigation, but also to delete entirely from my website ALL past information on the OSSL subject authored by me.

It would be a considerable task given the vast number of OSSL related articles I have authored and published since September last year. All related emails would also be deleted.

The only remaining OSSL related articles would be those published by newspapers.

In short, my website would no longer be a factor in your investigation.

I am not interested in the previous statements issued by the Garda and by Shell referring to the outcome of internal investigations.

All I am seeking is a straightforward statement by the Garda, or by Shell, that the events alleged by OSSL – including the OSSL delivery to the Garda of alcohol paid for by Shell – never happened.

Surely that is not an unreasonable request?

Kind regards
John Donovan

John

Good morning, I acknowledge receipt of your email with thanks.  As you are aware I have been tasked with examining the allegations made by OSSL.  Those enquiries are still ongoing and as such no official Garda statement can be forthcoming until my enquiries are complete.

Unfortunately, I cannot provide you with an end date at this stage

I agree your request is not unreasonable, but it will be addressed when my enquiries are complete.

Kind Regards

Thomas Murphy

EMAIL RECEIVED FROM OSSL. As Desmond Kane correctly says, I have never met or spoken with him (or anyone else at OSSL)

Dear Mr Donovan ,

We have never met , we have never spoken ,that will surprise some .

This matter ceased to be confidential when SHELL ..then ROADBRIDGE ….then the GARDA .. started putting out statements defending the indefensible in the Irish national press and television calling into question the integrity of three members of our company …..they made a mistake when they did so …they made a fool of Jim Mulcair who did not know (he reports ) that his company had taken part in a minuted meeting at which falsified invoices were demanded by Shell to be submitted to Roadbridge for payment of disguised purchases for locals near the project … Mulcair also claims he did not know the previous alcohol deliveries were paid by his company .

Your website is read by all at Shell …remember we were there for ten years ,its the best way we can get the attention of a credible person within that giant organisation who will have enough backbone to say enough is enough …we can’t treat people like this and get away with it .

When we got up the ladder to PETER VOSER …the first thing he said to me was …..oh yes I know all about you …..you have done yourself no favours with your actions ……I beg to differ Sir
The irish plan was for Overseas Shell to know nothing about us …..and you did know through Donovans Site …..

In the last twenty four hours we have witnessed a Shell / Garda  attempt to discredit  our claims with complete falsehoods …NEW ONES ….when challenged the GARDA has had to apologise ….using you excellent site we are hoping that VOSER now knows that as well .

With respect ,
Desmond Kane
