Expert scepticism about Shell Prelude

It is worth bearing in mind that Mr Campbell correctly predicted the tragic avoidable disaster that cost the lives of workers on the Shell Brent Bravo North Sea platform.  Shell ignored his chilling forecast put in writing that a fatal accident was inevitable.

SHELL PRELUDE BEDDING IN PROBLEMS

Retired Royal Dutch Shell HSE Group Auditor Bill Campbell comments on a recent article featuring reassuring noises from Zoe Yujnovich, chairman of Shell Australia and executive VP, integrated gas Australia and New Zealand, about the troubled Shell Prelude FLNG project

Bill Campbell says…

Sorry for the scepticism but to built an LNG plant on a footprint 22 times smaller on average than a plant of similar capacity if built on land is a pretty complex work of engineering and my gut feeling is the difficulty of turning gas to liquid, to produce LNG as designed, has its root in the compression of this plant onto a postage stamp footprint, but time will tell.

The more I read about Prelude the more I am of the opinion that the difficulties they are experiencing are more than just bedding in problems.
