Shell’s intent to ‘kill’ news coverage of John Donovan and his website

By John Donovan

Shell internal email communications obtained from Shell under the UK Data Protection Act 1998 provide proof of Shell’s intent to “kill” news coverage of John Donovan and his website, royaldutchshellplc.com.

Please read this Shell internal email about a half page news article written by then Sunday Times journalist Steven Swinford. It clearly indicates Shell’s intent to “kill” the article.

The article was about my intervention in the Sakhalin 2 project, which cost Shell its majority stake in the venture. Although the entire article was read to me over the phone by Steven Swinford hours before it was due to be published, it never appeared.

The article had included an interview with Russian Environmental Minister Oleg Mitvol, the so-called Kremlin Attack Dog, who confirmed his contact with me and made some candid remarks about Shell.

It was not until I obtained the above Shell emails that I realised that the excuse given at the time for non-publication may not have been genuine.

Another Shell internal email confirms a similar intent by Shell to apply pressure this time on the Financial Times because Shell objected to references by the FT to me and my website.

Of course, Shell had no idea that it’s sinister behind the press censorship activities would ever be put into the public domain.

All of the blanking out of text/names in the emails was carried out by Shell lawyers before being handed over to me. This may have been done to keep secret the involvement of Shell Corporate Affairs Security, the shadowy unit populated by hired spies, including MI6 people, who were aggressively monitoring my activities.

All completely at odds with Shell’s Statement of General Business Principles.

This website and sisters royaldutchshellgroup.com, shellnazihistory.com, royaldutchshell.website, johndonovan.website, and shellnews.net, are owned by John Donovan. There is also a Wikipedia segment.
