The outlandish star recently made headlines after he danced and showed a parody advert outside oil giant Shell’s offices in London to raise awareness about “greenwashing”.

The star, who is a regularly on British comedy panel shows such as, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and 8 Out of 10 Cats, arrived outside the offices in a yellow bus painted with a mural of a mock Shell advert featuring the caption “We’re turning our carbon emissions green for earth day”.

He and several dancers then performed a routine that culminated in Lycett being sprayed with grey paint to represent oil.

In the upcoming special, provisionally titled Joe Lycett vs The Oil Giant, the stand-up will examine the issue of greenwashing, where companies exaggerate their green credentials in their marketing output.
