Shell Broadband is to be avoided at all costs

Do read before you consider Shell Broadband. Months after we exited their ‘service’ after broadband speeds far worse than anything we have experienced in the previous decade and more, and paid a hefty early leaving charge, come the ‘collections’ department months later who have been leaving emails and calling because we owe them £35 for their lousy router. Do not, repeat do not, go anywhere near Shell Broadband. The reviews of Shell Broadband are very revealing on how dreadful and unfit for purpose Shell’s broadband operation is

Possibly the worst customer service, once they make the sale.

I have previously left a most positive review of Shell broadband, unfortunately my neighbor’s car was damaged by there contractor, having to endure being kept on hold for long periods and being cut off I was informed it was nothing to do with them and I should contact Openreach as it was nothing to do with Shell.

Having made the sale the customer service stinks as they seem to believe they have you trapped in a long contract, I instructed Shell to install my broadband and if there is a problem I expect them to investigate and if possible resolve the issue.

There standards of customer service certainly falls well below the statement they make below and in comparison is in the gutter.

“The Shell Energy Broadband team is always striving to improve the customer journey and provide the highest standards and care to our customers”

I intend to cancel my broadband with Shell UK dispite them threatening legal action against me and certainly don’t recommend this company if your a believer in customer service.

Been a customer with these for a good while and when my broadband stopped working I needed an engineer visit and now months later I have to pay 100 quid for it and I returned my router and they’re charging me for this also totally outrageous and I will not be paying it just cut me off cuz this is beyond a joke
