Shell is ‘doing its own Brexit,’ with a massive EU snub in favor of the UK move.

THE European Union has been shattered after it was revealed that oil giant Shell is “doing its own Brexit” by moving its headquarters from the Netherlands to the United Kingdom, with one political expert dubbing the news a “political bomb.”

Royal Dutch Shell is getting rid of its dual share structure and relocating its headquarters from the Netherlands to the United Kingdom, which is a huge win for the Brexit campaign.

The name “Royal Dutch” will be dropped from the company’s name, which has been part of its identity since 1907. The new name will be Shell Plc.

The company has been embroiled in a bitter dispute with Dutch authorities over the country’s 15% dividend withholding tax, which makes some of its shares less appealing to investors.

Because of the new single structure, which brings all of the company’s shares under British law, none of the company’s shares will be subject to the tax, and it will be easier for the company to make sales and acquisitions.

Shell’s decision to relocate its headquarters from The Hague to London has been met with “unpleasant surprise” by the Dutch government.

“Shell is coming to say to the world, ‘We, too, prefer to leave the European Union,’ and ‘Those who leave the European Union have the future.’”

“This news is a political bombshell!”

“There is a truly comical side to this,” Mr Noirez continued, “because EU propagandists have been telling us for years that Brexit would ruin the British economy by driving away businesses, shareholders, and capital.”
