Hacking attack underway on Shell Nazi History .com website

By John  Donovan

A hacking attack is apparently underway targeting my shellnazihistory.com website.

According to Jetpack Monitoring (see above)over 50,000 total blocked brute force attacks were made on the website between Nov 4, 2021 and Dec 4, 2021.

We can only speculate on who might have the motive and any prior form to take such sinister action against a non-commercial entirely free to use highly informative website?

It is true that Shell has used cloak and dagger activity against my Shell focussed websites several times, as recently as July 2021. But there is no evidence that Shell is behind the more recent attacks. read more

For decades Shell has tried to suppress online criticism

1995

Shell first took issue with my Shell-focused Internet activity in March 1995. Shell’s rabid false allegations about my late father and me resulted in a libel action and other litigation (IP theft) all subsequently settled in our favour by Shell.

2000

In November 2000, DJ Freeman, solicitors acting for Shell, sent a threatening letter to a server hosting company for www.nuclear-crimes.com AKA Shell’s Nuclear Crimes. DJ Freeman boasted in their letter that the website in question had already been removed from the Internet by a previous hosting company, Easyspace after DJ Freeman sent a threatening letter on behalf of Shell. read more

As Wikipedia editors are aware, my father Alfred Donovan passed away in 2013. Since there are a number of references to him in the above Wikipedia article, I provided proof in the form of a Guardian newspaper article about Shell that mentioned his death, hoping the information would be updated.

Strange tale of Shell’s pipeline battle, the Gardaí and £30,000 of booze

However, the several years out of date information remains and the supply of the information politely supplied triggered a negative response within 20 minutes. read more

McMillions$, McLibel and McShell

Despite McMillion$, McDonald’s is a saintly global business compared with Shell

By John Donovan

Shell has over 44,000 service stations worldwide and operates in over 70 countries. McDonald’s has almost 38,000 outlets worldwide and operates in over 100 countries. Both multinational giants operate with an ethical question mark hovering over their business activities. Both have run well-known hugely popular promotional games such as McDonald’s Monopoly and Shell Make Money.

McMillion$ is the name of a hit true-crime TV documentary series about fraudulent promotional games conducted by McDonald’s for many years. McDonald’s was an innocent party until the last of the rigged promotions. The story is being made into a movie starring Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. Shell also has a track record of running a flawed multimillion£ game in which all major prizes could be identified and removed by dishonest staff before they reached the public. read more

Shell Energy need to be named and shamed

So disgusted with this company I live…

So disgusted with this company I live alone am nearly 80 and in the winter only had my heating on for 6 hours
A day wrapped in a blanket when heating was off and went to bed early 8pm to keep warm, only had radiators
On in the rooms I use, now they are telling me they want to increase my monthly payments for gas and electricity from £83 a month to £100 a month starting 3 months before my renewal is due saying I’m £57 in debit. Have made a complaint as I am nearly 80 and can not afford the extra. Spoke on web chat said they would pass it on to complaints. Now waiting for a response. Did have a problem with smart meter took 4 months to send an engineer who told me the new one he was putting in would make no difference as they don’t use the newer update one that any energy supplier can use. Am now trying to find another supplier
With more consideration for their customers in my position. I feel all they want is to get more money from their users. I am getting I touch with my bank to stop them taking an extra £17 a month from me before my complaint has been dealt with. I can see other users have lots of problems by their reviews I have reviewed before on trustpilot and gues what I got an immediate call from them. Please keep sending in your reviews they need to be named and shamed.

Shell Energy Beware

The above extracts are from Trustpilot, Facebook Group: Shell Energy (formerly First Utility) – the worst customer service ever?? and First Utility Reviews

The Shell Energy gripe website is being launched in response to consumer horror stories involving debt collectors and bailiffs, with complaints posted online by outraged Shell Energy customers like the damning examples quoted in the above header.

By John Donovan

Shell and its shareholders will not welcome the news that I am launching another website later this month focussed on Shell. This time the target is Shell Energy, a global brand of rapidly growing importance and value to the parent company – Royal Dutch Shell Plc – in its quest to move away from an increasingly toxic fossil fuel-based business. Part of the gathering flight of ethical investors deserting Big Oil, in Shell’s case a transition into becoming a global energy and broadband company, instead of a dying oil giant. read more

DISCLAIMER: THIS IS NOT A SHELL WEBSITE

By John Donovan

All visitors to royaldutchshellplc.com and royaldutchshellgroup.com, please be aware that although focussed on Shell, neither is a Shell owned website and they are not endorsed, funded, or controlled by Shell.

Royal Dutch Shell unsuccessfully attempted to seize both domain names in legal proceedings in 2005, but against all expectations, lost the case.

Although we have standing written permission from Shell to sift through and use our judgement to pass on to Shell any incoming emails meant for the company, we ask that the following matters are raised directly with Shell via shell.com without any involvement on our part. read more

Noel Edmonds ‘wins £5million’ from Lloyds over claims criminal bankers destroyed his business

By John Donovan

I am delighted at the news that Lloyds Banking Group has reached a settlement with the TV and Radio legend Noel Edmonds.

As part of the settlement, he received a payment of several million pounds and agreed to close down the gripe site he had set up targetting Lloyds Banking Group.

I was pleased to provide information to Mr Edmonds at his request and make recommendations, including his attendance at Lloyds Banking Group AGMs at which he made a spectacular impact, causing huge embarrassment to the assembled full board of directors. read more

royaldutchshellplc.com is a Royal Dutch Shell gripe site and blog operated by Alfred and John Donovan, who engaged in several marketing campaigns with Shell during the 1980s and early 1990s. The father and son duo believe Shell violated intellectual property agreements and filed several lawsuits against Shell prior to starting several websites critical of Shell, including royaldutchshellplc.com. The site has been oft quoted in news sources and is known for its activities as an Internet leak and forum for Shell whistleblowers. read more
