Dear Commissioner Murphy

For the sake of transparency, I have printed below a copy of my email on this subject to Richard Wiseman at Royal Dutch Shell.

If Shell had said that the internal emails were a hoax, then I would not have contacted you at all. read more

Subject: Alleged death threats made to Shell Corrib Employees

For the Attention of Republic of Ireland Chief Police Commissioner Fachtna Murphy

Dear Commissioner Murphy

I am writing to draw your attention to alleged death threats made against Shell employees – members of the “CelticTigerFive” – who have leaked information to me concerning the controversial Corrib Gas Project.

With the exception of this paragraph, Royal Dutch Shell has had advance sight of this email and has, therefore, had the opportunity to deny the authenticity of the latest batch of Corrib project emails leaked to me and deny any knowledge of the associated death threats. The email was sent to Mr Richard Wiseman, Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer of Royal Dutch Shell Plc and to the CEO of the company, Mr Peter Voser. No response has been received. This is apparently another taboo subject for Shell, like for example when I confronted the company with evidence of its key role in the Al-Yamamah oil for arms scandal. read more

Alleged death threats against whistleblower Shell Corrib employees

By John Donovan

Earlier today I sent an email to Richard Wiseman, Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer of Royal Dutch Shell Plc advising him of alleged death threats made against Shell Corrib employees, who for some months have been leaking Shell internal emails to us, which we have published.

I supplied to Mr Wiseman the latest batch of leaked emails together with a draft email we intend to send to the Irish Police Commissioner reporting a Shell espionage operation against Shell Corrib employees and alleged related death threats. read more

By John Donovan

In the YouTube.com video above, *Paddy Briggs quotes from the minutes of a meeting of Royal Dutch Shell Group Managing Directors held on 23 July 2003 (MARKED “MOST CONFIDENTIAL”.

“It was noted that development of the Corrib field may be delayed until 2004 as planning consent had been refused for the terminal. The Committee queried whether the Group had sufficiently well placed contacts with the Irish government and regulators. Paul Skinner undertook to explore this issue further in consultation with the Country Chairman in Ireland.” read more

U.S. Dept. of Defense Confirms NCIS Espionage Investigation of Shell

Following my email correspondence with a U.S. intelligence source, and clearance obtained by that source from U.S. Dept. of Defense government attorneys, that source was authorized to confirm that an investigation directed at Shell USA was indeed initiated by the US Department of the Navy, Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS).

Alleged Shell industrial espionage in USA: Oct 2010 email correspondence with Shell

Unclassified US Federal records show those patent applications were classified by US military authorities. Hence the involvement of U.S. investigative authorities when the former Shell USA employee became aware, as a result of a tip-off from a former Shell USA colleague, and later confirmed by Mr. Matt Waldrop, of the law firm Vethan & Waldrop, a contract intellectual property law firm employed by Shell USA, of a Shell USA industrial espionage operation targeting his (classified) intellectual property. Shell USA was supposedly one of Vethan & Waldrop’s major industrial clients and the stated role of that law firm, and Mr. Waldrop, was to advise Shell USA and to assist Shell USA legal counsel in preparing civil litigation against this former employee.

Shell Pakistan business ethics under attack

Junior employees of Shell Pakistan are scared, as their fate is unclear, as was the case of Shell Ethiopia, Sudan and Djibouti in 2008 and they may also end up being left to protest against being SOLD like slaves.

Dear John Donovan,

I joined Pakistan Burma Shell almost 30 years ago as a fitter. I used to repair dispensers installed at petrol pumps of Pakistan Burma Shell. When Burma Shell was purchased by, Shell Pakistan, all the technicians like me were removed from service without proper benefits, (some cases of which are still pending in court).

Because of that experience, I launched a small firm of my own and started doing repair and minor repair work projects as a contractor at Shell petrol pumps in city of Sargodha Pakistan. read more

Shell Corrib Gas Project flood of leaked internal emails

By John Donovan

I have published below Shell internal emails and minutes of a meeting, all relating to the Shell led Corrib Gas Project in Ireland.

All of the items been supplied by a group of Shell Corrib employees who wish to be known as “Celtic Tiger 5?.

This is what they claim:

We are Celtic Tiger 5 who are current shell employees working in/or for Shell Ireland. We represent HSE, Commercial, IT, Construction and are interested in spreading correct information to the outside world and our fellow citizens in the West. Please feel free to publish this information on your website…

As previously indicated, Shell will be concerned about the prospect of another active subversive employee group within the company following the leak to us in February of the Shell Global Address Book in what was described as the worlds biggest breach of employee details. The leak turned into a global PR black-eye for Shell. read more

A close call for Shell on North Sea platform

On 11 May 2010, just weeks after the Gulf of Mexico disaster, Shell had a very narrow escape on the NAM-L13-FE North Sea platform that could have killed many people. There were 71 persons present at the time of the incident. Fortunately, none were injured. There was however significant damage to the platform.

Article by John Donovan including current related email correspondence with Royal Dutch Shell Plc

On 20 April 2010 an explosion and fire took place on the BP-licensed Transocean drilling rig Deepwater Horizon, located in the Gulf of Mexico. As we all know, the fall out from the explosion has been earthshaking in its ramifications in many directions.

On 27 June 2010, the Guardian published a related article “Shell: deep-water oil drilling will go on” featuring an interview with Peter Voser, the CEO of Royal Dutch Shell Plc. It contained this boast attributed to Mr Voser:

We would not have drilled the well in the same way. We have got other safety procedures across the globe. But I think for some companies there will be some learning from this as well…

In other words, Shell has nothing to learn from the BP disaster. read more

Leaked Shell internal emails reveal concern over Corrib subsea wells

By John Donovan

Published below is my self-explanatory correspondence with Royal Dutch Shell ethics boss Richard Wiseman, over the latest installment of leaked Shell internal emails, this time relating to the highly sensitive topic of the Corrib Gas Project in Ireland. More will follow.

The project has been dogged by controversy, including the jailing at Shell’s behest of the “Rossport Five” – members of the local population who have deep concern over safety and other issues.

Shell declines to comment on alleged industrial espionage targeting U.S. Navy Dept

Screen Shot 2014-10-30 at 09.22.43By John Donovan

Printed below is email correspondence with Mr Richard Wiseman, Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer of Royal Dutch Shell Plc. I am grateful to him for his response.

It seems reasonable to conclude in view of his response, that there is substance to astonishing allegations of Shell industrial espionage in the USA directed at the US Navy Department, involving classified military information.

Mr Wiseman must have checked with his American colleagues before replying, yet has been unable to issue the requested denial – see below – which would have resulted in non-publication. read more

Shell Apologises for Human Rights Violations in Niger Delta

TEXT FROM WHAT TURNED OUT TO BE A VIDEO CONTAINING A FAKE APOLOGY FROM SHELL. ALSO SEE RELATED CORRESPONDENCE WITH SHELL.

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zciWUOrIUqo&feature=player_embedded (No longer operational)

Today, Royal Dutch Shell is holding back the tears no more. Shell apologises to all inhabitants of Nigeria’s Niger Delta for the many years of human rights violations, for which Shell takes full responsibility.

Confronted with massive evidence of human rights violations that can only be attributed to its operations in the Niger Delta, Royal Dutch Shell is extremely proud to be the first international petrochemical company to publicly say: read more

Shell refuses to comment on Oklahoma oil royalties fraud

“As you surmise, we will not be commenting.  As always, you cannot take our silence to mean that we agree with any of your conclusions.”: Richard Wiseman, Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer, Royal Dutch Shell Plc 29 April 2010

NANCY FULLER HEBBLE AND OTHERS vs SHELL OIL CO.

On 13 April 2010, Shell filed an “APPELLANTS’ MOTION TO SUSPEND EFFECTIVENESS OF MANDATE“. It relates to the 18 December, 2009 decision by the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals affirming a judgment on a jury verdict in the Hebble v Shell royalties fraud case.

The jury awarded the Plaintiffs/Appellees $750,708 in principal, $12,455,208 in pre-judgment interest, and $53,625,000 in punitive damages.

The mandate is the instrument used by the Oklahoma Supreme Court to signal that they are finished with the case.  Shell asked the Oklahoma Supreme Court to suspend the effectiveness of the mandate so that the plaintiffs would not collect on the judgment pending a ruling by the United States Supreme Court. read more

U.K. Parliament Bribery Bill sheiks Shell

On Thursday, the UK House of Commons passed the Bribery Bill, which would make it illegal for companies doing business in the U.K. to bribe government officials.

The U.K. measure goes further than the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act because the legislation, if passed by the House of Lords, will make it illegal to request or accept a bribe. Companies could also face prosecution for failure to prevent bribery by employees.

This development will be of interest to Shell in view of its key involvement in the so called “Scandal of the Century“, for which BAE Systems has recently paid nearly $500 million in fines. read more
