Greenpeace Activists Occupy Shell Site in Canada

Oct. 3 (Bloomberg) — Greenpeace activists occupied three stacks at Royal Dutch Shell Plc’s Scotford site in Canada to protest against the extraction of oil sands. Nineteen activists from Canada, France, Brazil and Australia scaled an upgrader that Shell is building on the site to convert oil sands into fuel, Greenpeace said in a statement. Two protesters have been detained, Greenpeace said.
