?Shell Qatar is involved in the multi-billion dollar Pearl GTL project and Qatargas 3 and Qatargas 4 LNG projects.

?Shell Qatar chairman Andrew Brown said, “Safety is a key priority for us. If we can’t be safe, we don’t operate. Every day our concern is the safety of the 35,000 people working at our Pearl GTL work site.”

?He said Shell Qatar was offering some world class safety training programmes for which a training facility had been built at the Pearl Village.

?“Our training facility can deliver some 2,700 courses every single day to our workers and supervisors. Leadership training programmes that last nine days are being offered to some 5,000 supervisors at the Pearl GTL site. It is a groundbreaking approach to think about safety,” Brown said.
