LONDON (AFX) – The Royal Dutch/Shell Group said it discovered more oil in the Seria North Flank field in Brunei.

It found “approximately 400 metres of net gas and oil bearing sands of better reservoir quality than expected” in the well it drilled on the field.

“We regard this as a very important discovery because there are up to 20 similar structures in this area. Bandar Seri Begawan – As part of its ongoing efforts to contribute towards a sustainable environment, Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP) yesterday organised the `Environmental Care Day’ at the Anduki Recreational Park.

The event was initiated by the Corporate External Affairs Department with the support of the Belait District Office, Municipal Department, PEMBELA and Brunei Shell Ladies Association (BSLA).

The event was graced by Acting Managing Director of BSP Awg Hj Zainal Abidin bin Hj MohdAli and his spouse Datin Hjh Hayati, who is head of the BSLA. read more

Seria – The Fund for the Handicapped Children Association (KACA) was bolstered yesterday from a donation totalling more than $14,000 from the Brunei Shell Petroleum Company.

Mr Mark Carne, Managing Director of the company, presented the cheque to Dayang Thet Thet New, Specialist Paediatrician, Head of Children Services of the Suri Seri Begawan Hospital, yesterday.

The money was part of the proceeds from a Fun Run, which Brunei Shell Petroleum Company organised on March 14.
