Shell Broadband Price Gouging
The content below is sourced from current verifiable customer reviews of Shell Energy published on Trustpilot.
Just let me me know they’re ‘generously’ postponing a planned price increase for my broadband. Which means they plan to increase the price from the price I agreed to pay when I signed a contract with them. Apparently this is legal but I fail to see how this differs from fraud, especially as I am not allowed to cancel the contract when they increase their prices. Absolutely disgusted by Shell and will definitely be moving on at the end of my contract. Disgusting, unethical behaviour. Talk Talk didn’t even pull this sort of nonsense.
Worst company I have dealt with, causing me great distress.
I have been trying to close my account with Shell since beginning of February, customer service advisors promise this will happen yet it doesn’t. I continue to be charged even though I explained numerous times that my house is no longer habitable.
Forced to use Shell when previous energy supplier went bust. I would not have chosen them and would never use them again. Given inaccurate information when I called and emailed, if you don’t know just say you don’t know don’t make stuff up just to get me off the phone. They are so inefficient, sent me three different letters on the same day in different envelopes, could they not have just used one but who am I to tell them how to spend their postage money. Once I was finally able to move from this company, they used their own estimated readings which were completely wrong even after I had emailed readings to them twice and attached pictures. Very glad to no longer have to deal with this chaotic company.
