The British Museum has bypassed BP as a sponsor for its biggest exhibition addressing climate change amid fierce criticism of its links with the fossil fuel giant. The omission of BP as a sponsor is perhaps not surprising given the subject matter. But activists are still likely to see it as a victory. Campaigners, including Extinction Rebellion members, have held guerrilla-style protests against the museum’s current exhibition on TRo, which is sponsored by BP.
