Cowboys. After 2 years of issues with Shell Energy, Abdullah (head of Executive Complaints) decided there would be no support offered to fix the tariff issued they’ve caused, despite acknowledging the fact that there caused them. His direct report, Aziz exact words were ‘Sorry, its just we’re going through a crisis at the minute so we cant do anything for you…

Absolutely abhorrent customer service. If you don’t fancy the hassle of having to go to Ofgem, to have a complaint decision overturned, I would stay clear of this company. They have no customer service skills and will blame you for the issues they cause.


Shell has gone beyond the joke now with continuos spam.
Throughout the year they have done nothing but plague with spam that I actually shut down an email account I’ve had for 7 odd years. I’ve rung on so many occasions and on the last occasion the customer service guy promised me(September)that he would make sure only bill reminders would come through and no more spam. Well today its started again on a email account that they shouldnt even know about. I’m now at the point where I’m going to pay the 30 pound exit fee as this is just too much.

Worst customer services from any energy supplier. Avoid them on any cost! Prices are very high & poor customer services.

Trying to sort out change over & can’t…

Trying to sort out change over & can’t get in touch with anyone, was put on hold for 20 mins & then phone went dead. Not great really & no further forward.

Avoid this company!

I had the misfortune of having an account with this company for just under 4 months. Their poor customer service is breathtaking! I’ve endured months of trying to get a correct final bill and whilst correspondence was ongoing, they placed my account into the hands of a debt collection agency, despite the amount due being paid in full. End result is that I have filed a complaint with the Energy Ombudsman. Unbelievably, I’ve now started to receive further demands on the settled account. I’ve written to them 10 days ago, but no reply. I`m being bombarded on a near daily basis with letters, texts or emails asking for payment of an amount that’s not due and threatening “impact on my credit file”. Further evidence of harrassment to be referred to the Ombudsman!
I see that Shell staff monitor this page, so if somebody would like to sort this matter once and for all ……latest reference number is 9598438.

I would never recommend this company to anyone and feel for the people who have recently been moved to them.
