Gazprom with Yamal shortlist

Russian energy major Gazprom considers to invite foreign companies to the development of a LNG plant in the Yamal Peninsula, company leader Aleksey Miller said this week.
If a shortlist of foreign companies is established, it will include the company Royal Dutch Shell, Mr. Miller underlined. A decision on the issue will be taken in the near future, he added.
The Gazprom leader met with the management of Shell during the recent Sankt Petersburg Economic Forum, RBC.rureports.
Also company representative Aleksandr Medvedev now indicates that the Yamal gas will be developed together with foreigners, RIA Novosti reports. -The LNG project at Yamal might be developed like the Shtokman project, he said, adding that the gas this way will remain the property of Gazprom, while foreigners are invited into a development company.
