The story so far:

Both BP and Shell are in the process of divesting their Defined Benefit Pension Schemes.

BP to Aviva
Shell to Legal and General
Shell US has already divested its Defined Benefit Pension Scheme to Prudential

BP is downsizing i.e. divesting Renewables Assets under pressure from activist Elliot. Thereby, retaining  core assets at an attractive price.

Wael Sawan Shell CEO using carefully chosen words vehemently denying that Shell is in the process of taking over BP.

Shell buying back shares to reduce debt and the number of shares in the market during the takeover.

Helge Lund ex BG Group CEO at time of Shell take-over of BG Group, now BP Chairman forced to step down, but will wait until next year.

Sam Laidlaw CEO of Enterprise Oil at time of Shell takeover of Enterprise Oil will assume role of BP Chairman because he has the greater experience of the two.

BP corporate data managed by BRK, an American company.

Simon Henry ex Shell CFO to take place on BP Board.

The takeover is now fully transparent and Shell should admit what is happening.

Next in a swift and seamless move, Wael Sawan will step down as CEO. He will be replaced by a younger talented American female CEO. Shell will takeover BP. Retrench to continental US, with headquarters in New York and listed in the New York Stock Exchange and simultaneously merge with Shell US i.e. consolidation. Thereby, protecting the interests of the Dutch Royal Family, and institutional shareholders.

Shell have already made arrangements for the security of their remaining North Sea Assets through a joint venture, Adura, with Equinor

In the course of the move Shell will make a long overdue substantiantial ex Gratia payment to John Donavan and his family for their past wrongs against him and his family and for keeping Shell straight when they have strayed.
