John Donovan : Guest 5575, the posting about deception was by another guest. I transferred it across from when this site was on its former server yesterday. I cannot speak for that guest, but for my part I am sure the vast majority of Shell employees are honest. My problem is with the senior execs who preach honesty and integrity - the SGBP - but whose deeds prove that the pledges of ethical trading are empty words intended for the gullible.

The Nigerian Government is supposed to do this. NOT Shell!!! As usual (1) locals attempt to blame Shell (2) this website tries to blame Shell (3) blatant corruption in Nigeria is to blame.

Sorry I am confused - is Shell 100% required by a US law court to pay this money or is it just the status of some old ongoing lawsuit filed by someone trying to make the usual buck out of big industry. guest_6981 : Good for Richard Branson - he should indeed try and get out of Nigeria. They can then concentrate on running their awful & unsafe domestic airlines themselves. Yar'Adua's government is as corrupt as those before them. This time they try and rip up signed contracts so that they can sifon off money for their own bank accounts.
