Dear Editor,

Please see and publish the article below with above headline.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Ben Ikari, author of Ken Saro-Wiwa and MOSOP: The Story and Revelation; Rights and Environmental Justice Advocate.

Dear Janet Anderson:

Thank you for taking the time to write these good words credited to you about Ken Saro-Wiwa in the headline above. It was reportedly published in the Tempo Newspaper Nigeria, on Jan. 2, 1996 though originally printed in the Daily Telegraph of Nov. 13, 1995.  Saro-Wiwa was, of course, the foremost minority rights crusader of Africa. He was a prolific and accomplished writer who authored more than 27 books. He also had several newspaper publications and position papers to his name; a non-violent and peaceful, intelligent, smart and witty world’s environmental martyr he was. He was truly altruistic. read more

Royal Dutch Shell (RDS) may be set for a serious crisis and bloodletting in Ogoni, Nigeria. Information reaching the African Cultural and Fundamental Rights Council (AFCRC-USA) has it that the oil company, which happens to be the foremost in Nigeria for over 50 years, have been using heavily armed soldiers to clear the Ebubu Eleme oilfield in Ogoni. The corporation is also said to be engaging in other activities villagers believe could be oil extraction against the people’s wishes. read more

Controversy Over Ogoni Political Autonomy: It’s Time Ogoni Intellectuals Educate the Public

By Ben Ikari

Dear Ogoni Intellectuals,

I am seizing this medium to greet you all in the greatest name of Ogoni. May I also state categorical clear that, what is happening down the street or say in Nigeria currently affect Ogoni seriously than some or most  may think. It is serious Ogoni business and not Goodluck Diigbo’s even though his actions caused it. Therefore, I ask humbly and respectfully that you should wear your fine armor of patriotism for Ogoni and use your general, expert and knowledge of Ogoni struggle, the Ogoni Bill of Rights (OBR), which isn’t strange to Nigeria to educate Nigerians in particular and the world about the Ogoni demand for Political Autonomy. read more

African Cultural and Fundamental Rights Council Task Government and Shell on Ogoni Cleanup

In short, the devastating content of this report $hell and the government had covered was the reason Ken Saro-Wiwa was murdered when he revealed the genocidal design against Ogoni to the world and refused to call off the campaign as was demanded by Shell and government.

By Ben Ikari

The African Cultural and Fundamental Rights Council (AFCRC), USA congratulates the newly formed  Ogoni Environmental Protection Agency (OGEPA) for its emergence at a time Ogoni is at environmental crossroads.

We especially thank the new agency for its vision aimed at achieving broad-based tree planting throughout Ogoni territory. This is a great feat that should receive the appreciation and support of local, national, regional and international groups or organizations and governments. read more

Pres Jonathan, Nigerian Politicians Blocking Ogoni Clean-Up

Of course, $hell has over the years refuted allegations of environmental degradation in Ogoni. The company has nowhere to hide from this environmental catastrophe that is killing Ogonis faster than not. Although my source says $hell is willing to deposit the take-off money, it is also common with the company taking undue advantage of the envy and division, greed and corruption in Nigeria.
