Value destruction from Matula has historically been contained to Downstream but value destroying focus shifting now to Upstream. Friends of Matula being aggressively placed in key Upstream roles. Upstream businesses alarmed with rising costs and little value to show for it. Joint Ventures where they can are opting out leaving a smaller base over which to allocate the cost increases so spiral continues. Andy B needs to get a grip on this before it is too late.
