The Financial Services Authority yesterday said it was “confident” of seeing off a claim from Sir Philip Watts that his rights had been “violated” after the FSA fined Shell £17m over the reserves scandal.
Last week Sir Philip said he was taking the FSA to the Financial Services & Markets Tribunal. The FSA said it was confident the tribunal will rule that “Sir Philip was not prejudiced by the issue of our decision notice”.
