The head of the second-largest mining company in the world drew protests when he was asked to lecture on sustainability at Dalhousie University inHalifax. Sir Mark Moody-Stuart, chairman of AngloAmerican, is also the former head of Shell Oil’s Nigerian operations. “This company… is responsible for forcibly displacing hundreds of subsistence farmers in northeastern Colombia,” said one protester.
