We know why Prince Andrew is smiling…
By John Donovan
Prince Andrew, the “Playboy Prince” connected with Shell, an oil giant with a long track record of corrupt business practices, has reportedly sold for £15 million ($30 million) the palatial house he received as a wedding gift from his mum, Queen Elizabeth II.
The property had been on the market for 5 years without finding a buyer.
Despite the fact that UK housing market is entering a slump and prices are in freefall, a friendly Kazakh oil tycoon, whose father-in-law is a former Prime Minister of Kazakh, has allegedly paid £3 million more than the asking price that no one else would pay.
As a result, Prince Andrew has found it necessary to deny any impropriety.
However a smell of something unpleasant continues to seep from Sunninghill Park.
Shell is a partner in a huge project in Kazakhstan, the Kashagan oil field, which has encountered many problems with the Kazakhstan authorities, but all seems resolved now.
