Sept. 15 (Bloomberg) — The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, the main militant group in Nigeria’s oil region, said its fighters destroyed a Royal Dutch Shell Plc flow station in a third day of attacks on oil installations.
“The Alakiri flow station has been completely destroyed,” Jomo Gbomo, a spokesman for the group also known as MEND, said in an e-mailed statement to Bloomberg. Shell officials couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.
