VIENNA, Jan 7 (Reuters) – Austrian oil and gas group OMV (OMVV.VI) said on Thursday it has hired an upstream manager from rival Royal Dutch Shell (RDSa.L) to become its new exploration and production chief later this year.
Dutchman Jaap Huijskes, who is currently executive vice president of upstream major projects at Royal Dutch Shell, will take over from Helmut Langanger who leaves OMV at the end of September 2010 as planned, OMV said in a statement.
Huijskes, 44, will join OMV on April 1.
