Vicksburg, Miss.Closure of the Shell Lubricants facility at the Port of Vicksburg will mean the loss of 24 jobs in the Mississippi River city.
Wayne Mansfield, executive director of the Warren County Port Commission, says the oil-blending plant will shut down Dec. 1.
Shell officials say the Vicksburg operation will be consolidated into nine other blending and packaging facilities the oil producer owns in the United States.
Shell is the third business at the port to close this year, joining Ergon Inc. and Armstrong World Industries.
