GRETNA, La. Defendants Exxon Mobil Corp. and Shell Oil Co. are seeking access to a plaintiffs tissue and blood, saying that genetic testing will indicate whether the plaintiff has an “inherited propensity or susceptibility” to develop his cancer.
In the Aug. 28 motion filed in Louisianas 24th Judicial District Court for Jefferson Parish, Exxon Mobil Corp. and Shell Oil Co. seek testing of the plaintiffs tissue and blood, specifically from the plaintiffs kidney, adrenal gland and lymph nodes.
