Complete and utter disgrace. Got my broadband delivered – not satisfied with quality but cannot cancel it now without “early termination fees” as my cooling off period started on 29th of December (when I placed an order) but start of the services were provided on the 18th of January – meaning you get service without chances to try it and cancel.

I’d personally seggest to Avoid this company

Probably the worst energy switch ever no communication from the start of the process until I contacted Shell energy 6 weeks later from which they had taken the 1st payment without any readings I was told that it was standard indudstry protocol but let’s see how it progresses

Unfortunately very poor customer experience with Shell Energy billing prices are inaccurate and estimated billing although a smart meter is fitted, cannot see any difference between First Utility and now Shell Energy apart the name changes still over inflated prices.

False information

Beware! It will show up ‘if you are switching 7 weeks before your contract end date your final bill will include an exit fee of £30.’ but I had a shock when I received my final bill! Contacted them and apparently it’s £30 PER FUEL! Which they fail to put in all their emails and when you log into your account and the first thing you see is the notification for a £30 exit fee!!! NOWHERE on your app or emails with them do they advise this is PER FUEL! Would not recommend!

Cant rate in -rating,,,,Serious issue with complain….Cant assign your query to one person as they have one customer service…but they dont put name in reply email…their acknowledge email says they are very may take longer time to answer but issue is serious and they charge me again and again for empty property….sent tenancy contract..two photo of meter reading but still they can not issue me the correct invoice….paid first bill estimated…then sent reading and waiting for refund…over month and seven email…stilll struggling to get refund…instead they issue another big massive bill to pay for empty property…every time new person…no cohesion of any kind…no update instead ask you same question and ask you same photo but they dont look my email and content of email with all proof
like to pay what I have consume instead they send me bill on bill…practice is very wrong…spoke to so many people and email a lot but they do not have one person to sort it out… alll they have is fake promises and write they are very serious on complain but in reality they are not good company for energy needs and please beware to join them…I got all proof and email and log for my call details…they may have page on facebook and any other social media but in reality the company is very bad and they cant find my email….you need to hold for 30 min ….still they cant find email…all their advisor play diff game…write any details in log….the consumer like to pay the correct used units and after giving contract and two reading still they struggling to update…they cant even understand the contract start date and finish date is clearly mention but four of their advisor still confuse …Shell Energy..please read and sort out your customer service…I can provide you all the logs of my complain and the proof…but stop Energy Mafia tactics

Ignored official exchange readings

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to switch away before moving in to our house. I am due to pay for a few days on the elec and a couple of weeks of gas usage. That’s fine and I expect.

Despite this short period. Having spoken to them in September (moved in end of Aug), with actual move in readings, and actual switch away readings. They have ignored both!! And estimated to their benefit.
They only just sent me this bill after 4months! It wouldn’t be too bad but after all this time the official reads they had agreed to last year before this bill were ignored entirely!

Not Happy

It has taken three months for Shell to connect with our smart meter. I have sent numerous emails and had three telephone conversations with customer services. This has surprised me somewhat as Shell is a renouned multinational company. As the smart meter is first generation, I requested at the time of setting up of my contract, that I preferred monthly meter readings and not use the smart meter as I was advised that there might be difficulties with connections with this type of meter. Hence the wait of 3 months for Shell to rectify the issue. However, my requests for submission of monthly meter readings has not been fulfilled as I have not been given the choice of not using the smart meter which I am not legally obliged to use.

has taken an age to complete the swicthover for the dual energies both should have been done on 25th december 2020 elecricity was done ok but gas has only been completed on 19th january not good enough.
