HOUSTON: Current Shell operated production from the Gulf of Mexico is now over 400,000 BOE/d, while Shell’s net production, including both operated and non-operated production, from the region is around 310,000 BOE/d. The company’s operated gulf of Mexico assets normally produce at around 500,000 BOE/d, with net production in the 350,000 BOE/d range.

On Nov. 5, Shell’s operated Gulf of Mexico production was 375,000 BOE/d, while net Gulf of Mexico production was 300,000 BOE/d.

Shell-operated facilities in the U.S. Gulf that are still under repair following Hurricanes Gustav and Ike are Salsa on Garden Banks Block 172, Bullwinkle on Green Canyon Block 65 and the South Timbalier 300 assets. While production resumption dates for the facility vary, Shell expects all repair work to be completed by the end of March 2009.
