Awful company

Awful company, thank god i wasn’t a signed up member!
Moved into a property supplied by Shell Energy, switched straight away, took meter reading and supplied to them on the 1st day.
Then they start sending text messages to say to call a number to pay, search of the number online shows it as a scamming number rated as ‘Dangerous’ on ‘Who Called Me’.
When you call the number they want all your personal details and bank details without even confirming anything to prove who they are and they know who is calling them, they ended up hanging up on me when I asked them to confirm some of my details even just my door number.
Go to the website, its just as bad trying to get some contact details, eventually had to fill out a form as even the online chat isn’t a chat, its automated.
Eventually get an email from them confirming the details, and I pay and send them confirmation via email, then I continue to get threatening messages about outstanding payment and debt collectors.
Awful company, I’m guessing staff members have increased their ratings on here, have a look at their ratings on some other sites.

No customer care

When this company was first utility they were very helpful but once take over by Shell energy you can tell the different and the prices are very high! I have just switched to another provided and shell haven’t made it at all easy for me just out to get the money and not really bothered about customer care go elsewhere

Shell energy gave a wrong meter reading…

Shell energy gave a wrong meter reading to my current supplier and tried to charge me over £120. For three weeks with them for energy I did not use.

When trying to contact them I was left on hold for over 20mins both times trying to get through.

When you get through they are rude and do not care and tell you to call back with evidence to only be left on hold yet again another 20mins.

Another review from me…. Having serious billing issues since Sept 2019.
After reading a lot of other customers reviews, I can’t believe that most of complaints and problems are same as mine…. Think it won’t be long till this horrendous shambles of a company will close down… These people can’t do this to people, think its about time all of us to be taking shell energy to high court for theft.
No way we should be paying the high bills, I owe them £600,but they are not getting it because its wrong.. After 1 reading to another within a month the amount increased by £200,again I’m a woman on my own and don’t use much energy and I’m skint because of them taking £122 a month from me.
I am currently dealing with citizens advice but considering legal action to catch them out which will happen by far,, this company has made me ill with stress and anxiety. So please don’t go anywhere near them, I noticed that a customer stated on their review that shell energy is putting them to an early grave which is very very true!!!!
Lastly these people mess about and change your usage graphs behind your back, I have screenshots for proof of this, that’s against the law!!!!!!
So people looking for loyal, honest, friendly, good customer service, genuine billing this is not for you, read all the reviews very carefully and you will soon know how bad this company is and to stay well clear… Anyway I don’t think they will have a service for long!!!!!!!!!!!

Take a look at yourselfs please shell energy.
Can’t you see that me and mostly everyone else are getting robbed,, that shows it shell that’s at fault not your customers, far from it. HOW CAN YOU SERIOUSLY CHARGE ME OVER £200 FROM ONE METER READING TO ANOTHER IN SUCH A SHORT TIME,,, I’M SAYING IT AGAIN….. I DO NOT USE ENERGY IN MY HOME THE WAY YOU MAKE IT OUT TO BE,, THAT’S AWFUL AND DISGRACEFUL TO CHARGE SOMEONE LIVING ON THEIR OWN IN A SMALL HOME OF OVER £122 A MONTH AND NOW THREATNING TO TAKE BETWEEN£150 TO £200….ABSOLUTELY ATROSHIS AND DISGRACEFUL!!!!
SHELL ENERGY ARE THIEF’S AND SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE ABOUT IT!!!
Even my recent communication with my scarf adviser, he also couldn’t get over how a company like this exists as, he was lied to over the phone by this sickening company.
Also sending out rude, horrible men to my home to do meter readings which made me feel like a fool… He told my dog to shut up which is wrong… Where did you find him!! The prison??
I will be looking to leave, and won’t be getting my debt payment, as its yourselves that owe me!!!!!!!!!

PS: Don’t reply with ‘ I’m sorry’ because it’s a lie!!!! The company does not care a hoot, they just want to steal from people!!!!

Disgusted!

I was persuaded to move from British gas with the incentive of paying less for gas and electricity combined per month by direct debit . So my first payment was large bill !!!!I’ve had no luck contacting customer service .
There’s no option for what im asking . I feel conned . If i want to get out it will be a £90 forfeit. Disgusted

Still no resolution. This company are robbers

Even after the so called Impartial Ombudsman was independently assessed over my complaint, they still don’t get it???

I was duped into thinking the IsaveEveryday tariff I was sold was a great thing being under a PRICE PROMISE..

How wrong you can be.. Someone needs to go to Jail!!!, they really think that charging nearly double tariff was fair. They are a sham and should be ashamed to work for the company.

I know people that have been with them that are suicidal ( truth !! ), they dont care. Also special needs cases. The whole lot is a fowl stink!!!, and no help from anyone

– Impossible to contact

– Impossible to contact, such a shame for a big name.
– 1st attempt to contact by chat I was waiting for an agent for 40 mins.
– Tried by phone, answered the phone but had to transfer and gave up being on hold for another 15 mins.
– Tried chat again all day and no agents free……

I’ve given up and switching

STAY AWAY

First Utility brilliant until Shell Energy took over!! Cannot pick up the phones to discuss account, Shocking smart metre service. Their supplier SMG who install smart metres have sent 3 engineers out since July 2019 to January 2020 and they still havn’t got the gas working! I cannot give a gas reading online because of this and it takes forever to talk to someone and get passed around the houses. Cannot give me any answers however they don’t have a problem with taking your money.
