Bad customer service, no answered phone calls, 1 hour wait, and no dedicated call centre. Rubbish Rubbish Rubbish
AVOID – ITS A TRAP – DON’T DISMISS A BAD REVIEW
Where do I even start. When you first get your tariff agreed by these sales reps, (who know how to pressure you) they will not tell you how variable it is. I was told I would pay £72 a month like I did at Scottish Power, and it was assumed I would pay around £864, (also written on when I was first sold this.) Of course I bought into this, and trusted this company, because for the previous 5 years, this is exactly what I paid with Scottish Power, (and left with credit!) Oh no, 5 months in with Shell, and I’ve already paid over £600!!!!! They claim they do tariff/ rate reviews, but this is only offered yearly. By that time, how much more would I have paid out?? Absolute disgrace of a company.
Tried to complain about me having to pay out for an exit fee as I felt I was mis-sold this, and they weren’t having any of it. Daylight robbery. I wonder how many others they trap..
Oh, and can’t get through to someone? Expect long waiting times on the phone, and long waiting times for email replies. If you complain on Facebook, surprise surprise, you’ll get a response. Shouldn’t take a complaint on Facebook to get a reply!!!! So poor.
Horrendous Customer Service
Horrendous Customer Service.
When its working is ok, But constant dropping of the broadband and phone service, slow speeds, and poor line quality.
But the worst is IF YOU TRY TO RING THEM!.
They just DONT answer. Keep you waiting and waiting and waiting.
Bad from start to finish!
Bad customer service, when you call you go on the call list & then get cut off before they pick up. This happened many many times, so tried though their online service. It takes them ages to answer any questions & if it is time for them to close, they leave you hanging, with no response until the next time they are live again.
Then when they finally come back to you, they dispute what was shown on my online account. Really had a hard battle to get the staff to agree with what was said on my online account. They almost made out I was telling lies.
Also set up a monthly direct debit with them, bank acknowledged the DD, but have failed for 2 months to take any money.
Finally they reckoned they were cheaper but are not & the benefits are rubbish & not what I was told when I agreed to swap from my old supplier.
All in all rubbish & the only reason I currently stay is because it would cost me money to leave due to the penalty clause.

I’ve only been a customer for 2 days and already beginning to regret it. I have had 2 requests to submit my Electric Meter reading but their system refuses to co-operate, as I have a Smart Meter. Evidently not smart enough for Shell to read it. Had a pointless’chat online’ advising me to try again tomorrow. Rang up, and the only option is to Make a payment or submit a reading. Selected the meter read option (2), entered the details and got a recorded message to advise that readings can’t be made this way. There is no human on the number given, just 2 automated services. I should charge for my time wasted.
Awful company
Awful company. Customer service lines are understaffed and can leave you waiting for 30 mins plus regularly. They continue to take direct debits once your account is closed, erroneously claiming that your new company has not provided a final meter reading. Expensive product, incompetent staff and poor processes and controls. Avoid this company.

Not very helpful staff
Not very helpful staff. Was told by a shell sales rep my monthly charge would be £77 a month but in reality is double that. Was also told by the sales rep there would be no cancellation fee. This is also not true. Have been well and truly stitched up. Avoid this company at all cost.

If you can’t address me by the correct name, how can I be confident that you can get anything else correct?

Pathetic customer service
Had a smart meter fitted never worked properly, informed shell energy engineer failed to turn up twice, I’m now switching companies as my electric bill as gone up 40 to 50 percent a month since she’ll took over from first utility, shell are a rip off company I would advise anyone to avoid them by a country mile, JOKE COMPANY
