Absolutely horrific service by Shell Energy Broadband

1. Shell energy has an exit fee *even after the contract period is over*. This is something they hide under their small print and forget to mention when you sign-up. This is probably the only company that tries to bleed you even after you are no longer committed.
2. In my case, I changed the direct debit and the agent confirmed it. I also got an e-mail confirming it. 8 days later, I get an sms saying there’s an unpaid bill. Apparently it takes 12 days (in the 21st century) for their systems to get updated and the agent forgot to mention that!
3. Eventually I look everywhere in the account portal for a manual payment link. Their help article says I need to click on a “Bills and Payments” link that doesn’t exist. The customer service rep says I need to call a phone number and make a payment via phone.
If this is the level of service you desire, please sign up to Shell Energy Broadband.
