Shell Energy Totally Incompetent

Information sourced from Trustpilot customer reviews of Shell Energy published two days ago. Published here 30 July 2021

They NEVER ring you back.

Totally incompetent

Totally incompetent. Advisers are mostly very pleasant, but reading from a sheet with no backup. Had a problem with line and broadband in April, line sorted but broadband still drops out.

Complaints opened and closed by them when you phone to chase.

They NEVER ring you back.

Threatened to leave since June, now I have done it they are threatening to charge me £281 for breaking my “new?” Contract. I am supposed to have agreed to a new contract in April! Who would agree to a new contract when you have a persistent fault? I have changed all my equipment, apart from the route, they refused to change this, suggesting I buy one, whilst stating “routers do not degrade with age”!!!

My promised call back by a manager (within 48 hours), a week ago, is supposed to happen on 30 July – 2 days before my switch over to my new supplier. They don’t deserve to have any customers, First Utility, who they took over, had great personal service, operatives “owned” a problem until it was sorted.

I will escalate to Ofcom if pushed for severance payment, Stating all the complaints that they have closed without action.

Avoid them!
